Beginning Needlepoint with Karen

Instructor: Karen Rumpza
Learn all the basics when it fits with your schedule. Learn the essential needlepoint stitches - basketweave, tent and continental - and how to use them in straight and curved spaces. Work with different fibers and learn to read a graph. You may schedule individual or group sessions.

Bring your project or canvas for stitch and fiber suggestions as well as the enjoyment and inspiration of stitching with other needlepointers. It's a great opportunity to learn a new stitch or two! Written stitch guides are available for a fee depending on size and complexity of the canvas.

Gifts Galore Santa

Nordic Santa

This fantastic folk-style Santa will entertain with lots of fun stitching! The extra-long beard has great texture, the coat has interesting stitches and fibers and the background is stitched with an overdyed thread so everyone's piece is unique. A very charming piece!

Because of the special materials used in these classes, please note advance registration is necessary. We will refund your registration fee if you cancel at least 30 days prior to the first day of class OR if we can fill your seat.

Petei Santa with Sleigh

This large ornament looks great and will surely be a whole lot of fun to stitch. Santa sports traditional garb, which is just plain fun in his sparkly red suit with white furry trim. The background is a lovely shimmery background accentuated with pearly stars. Students will love the variety as they work with many different fibers and stitch patterns.
